Daltas is a female managed company based in the stunning mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan. The company engages with local farmers that produce some of the finest food in the world grown using more than a century-old traditional and indigenous method. Our mission is simple – to empower these farmers by sharing their superfoods with the rest of the world. Daltas Enterprises specializes in high quality organic fruits and dry fruits including apricots, walnuts, cherries, mulberries, and apples.Gilgit-Baltistan is known for its hard-working farming communities and high-quality, organic produce. Daltas Enterprises seek to expand access to this produce through its distribution network thereby improving the livelihoods of the local community by reinvesting the profits back into the community. Daltas works directly with local farmers to source fresh produce.

 

The farmers in the GB mountain region utilize local organic drying methods with the sun and local natural resources. Fruit is produced using pure glacier water from the mountains.  Daltas works directly with a group of women farmers to pick the most delicious variety product for drying.  The female farmer cooperative will be provided regular technical support and training on modern fruit picking, drying and packaging methods. Daltas connect the farmers with the technical experts to enhance their yield and quality of produce.
